PCSO Awareness Presentations
We offer organizations in Ottawa, Eastern Ontario, and the Outaouais the opportunity to learn how Prostate Cancer Support Ottawa helps men and their families affected by prostate cancer.
Although prostate cancer is highly treatable when detected early, it remains the second leading cause of cancer death among Canadian men. In 2025, an estimated 30,400 men in Canada were diagnosed with prostate cancer, including more than 1,400 men in the regions served by PCS Ottawa.
Our Awareness Team is available to present to interested organizations. We provide a brief presentation followed by discussion and questions on prostate cancer, including diagnosis, treatment options, side effects, rehabilitation, and the services offered by Prostate Cancer Support Ottawa. Presentations are available in English or French.
To book a presentation, email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or call 613‑828‑0762 with your preferred date(s) and requirements.

Monthly Social Drop-Ins
Please come on out and join us in person for relaxed social drop-ins at the Maplesoft-Jones Centre. All are welcome – members, newcomers, and partners/caregivers.
These new monthly PCSO meetings will start at 6:00 pm in the Great Room of the Maplesoft-Jones Centre, 1500 Alta Vista Drive [MAP], every first Thursday of the month including July and August. These are in-person only events, with coffee and light refreshments available. Check our Meetings page for details.
We hope to see you there!
Regular PCS Ottawa Meetings
Unless otherwise noted, we hold Prostate Cancer Support Ottawa’s regular monthly meetings at the Maplesoft-Jones Cancer Survivorship Centre [Map] on the third Thursday of each month. We don’t hold meetings in the months of July and August, except for our ever-popular annual BBQ on the third Thursday of August.
We offer most of our meetings in hybrid format, allowing you to attend either in person or virtually. Watch our Meetings and Events website page or your e-mail inbox for meeting locations and specific registration instructions.
We normally start our meetings with a social gathering at 5:30 pm, followed at 6:00 pm with brief business announcements, followed by either a guest speaker or a sharing session.
