Our Guest Speaker Jill Burns, MPH, RD, DipNurs(UK)
Jill is the Senior Community Health Promoter with the Ottawa Cancer Foundation. She brings over 25 years of health care experience both as a former nurse and currently as a Registered Dietitian. Jill also has a Master’s of Public Health, and a strong interest in food and nutrition for prevention and healing. She offers the Nourish Program year-round at the Community Cancer Hub. Nourish is an evidence-based nutrition program that is licenced from WellspringÔ in Toronto.
Jill’s topic for the evening is Nutrition and Prostate Cancer.
Regular PCS Ottawa Meetings
Unless otherwise stated, Prostate Cancer Support Ottawa’s regular meetings take place at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, 930 Watson Street, Ottawa [Map] on the third Thursday of each month except for July and August. There is ample parking at the back of the church.
Our meetings start with a social gathering at 6:30 pm, followed at 7:00 pm with brief business announcements, followed by either a guest speaker or a sharing session.
