Cool, rainy conditions prevailed for the annual Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend, but Al Carl, Dean Avery and Tyler Britnell together raised $4,071 for Prostate Cancer Foundation Canada.

PCSO Board Treasurer Dean Avery Ran the Half Marathon
Three PCSO members participated on 23-24 May in the 2026 Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend, and together raised $4,071 for Prostate Cancer Foundation Canada. Al Carl actually ran when he thought he would be in the 2K walking group. Dean Avery came from Vancouver to race the half marathon in just under 1:40, setting several new personal bests for himself.
